We edit the trip.
You take the vacation.

Custom, curated travel for families and busy people. We find dates that work, then build the flights, hotels, and experiences around real life — school calendars, work weeks, and the way your group actually travels.

A trip, already edited Dates, stays, and a pace that leaves room to enjoy it.

Who it's for

People who want the trip without the 40-tab planning spiral.

Family walking together on a sunny street

Families

Travel that holds the whole group.

Multigenerational weeks, spring break, first big international trip with kids. We plan connecting rooms, downtime, and days that don’t collapse by 3 p.m.

  • School-calendar timing
  • Hotels that actually fit your people
  • A mix of wonder and recovery time

Busy people

Limited PTO. No appetite for logistics.

You know you need to get away. You do not have another weekend to become your own travel agent. We build a short, sharp trip around the days you actually have.

  • Date options that protect your time off
  • Flights that don’t waste a vacation day
  • A clear plan you can say yes to

How it works

Four steps. Then you’re booked.

01

The brief

Who’s going, when you can leave, budget range, and the feeling you want when you land.

02

The edit

We map workable dates, then cut the trip down to the hotels, flights, and days that earn their place.

03

The plan

You get a clear itinerary and options. We book through Fora so the perks travel with you.

04

The trip

You leave. We stay reachable if a flight shifts or you want a last-minute reservation.

What we plan

Every moving piece, in one place.

Dates

We look at school breaks, work constraints, flight patterns, and weather — then recommend when to actually go.

Flights

Routing that respects energy levels. Fewer brutal connections. Arrival times that don’t waste the first night.

Hotels

The right neighborhood, the right room setup, and properties where Fora perks can add breakfast, upgrades, or credits.

Experiences

A handful of booked anchors — a dinner, a guide, a day trip — with space left open so the trip can breathe.

Cruises

Line, itinerary, cabin, and when to book — including sailings from the New York area.

Disney

Resort, ticket length, dining windows, and a park order that matches the group. Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and the ships. Skip-the-line only where it earns the money. Not a first-timer checklist.

Fees

Hotel bookings are usually free. Custom planning is not.

Most stays cost you the same rate you’d see on the hotel site. We are paid by the property through Fora. When the work is dates, flights, and a full itinerary, we charge a planning fee — quoted before we start.

Hotel only

The Getaway

$0

You know the dates and the stay. We book the hotel so you get Fora perks — breakfast, upgrades, or credits when available.

  • One property
  • Known dates
  • Booking + trip support

3–4 days

The Weekend Edit

$150–$250

A short trip that still has to fit a work week. Flights, one great base, and a plan that doesn’t waste a day off.

  • Date options
  • Flights + hotel
  • A tight itinerary

Complex trips

The Full Edit

$750+

Two cities, a celebration, or a larger family. More moving pieces, more rooms, more coordination — quoted before we begin.

  • Multi-stop or multi-gen
  • Full custom itinerary
  • Support while you’re away

Air-only bookings: $50 domestic / $75 international per ticket. Planning fees are quoted up front. Fora may process the fee; hotel commissions are separate and do not change the rate you pay the property.

Carrolyn & Bill

Two people who like the planning almost as much as the trip.

Edit Travel is our side studio for friends, families, and busy people who want a trip that fits real life. Carrolyn is the advisor of record. Bill plans with her. We use the travel we’ve done — including a lot of cruises and Disney — the questions we wish someone had asked us, and a lot of careful editing.

You will not get a 19-stop itinerary. You will get dates that work, a stay that makes sense for your group, and a few experiences worth the suitcase.

Independent travel advisors working with Fora Travel. Carrolyn books through Fora. Hotel bookings are typically at the same rate you’d see on your own, with advisor-only perks added where available. Complex custom itineraries may include a planning fee, discussed before we begin.

Questions

Before you write us.

Do I pay extra to use an advisor?

For a straightforward hotel booking, no. We are paid by the property through Fora, usually at the same rate you’d see yourself. Custom planning — dates, flights, and a full itinerary — has a fee. The Week Edit is typically $350–$500. We quote it before we start. See Fees.

Can you work with a destination you haven’t visited?

Yes. We plan from a mix of first-hand travel, trusted advisor notes, and Fora’s hotel and destination tools. If a trip is outside what we can do well, we will say so.

How far in advance should we start?

Six to nine months is comfortable for family trips and popular seasons. Busy people with a sudden window: write us anyway. We can often build a clean short trip on a shorter fuse.

Is this only luxury travel?

No. We care more about fit than five stars. Some trips want a simple beach hotel and a rental car. Some want a milestone stay. We edit to the budget you give us.

Do you book cruises and Disney?

Yes. Both are a real part of what we do. Cruises cover line, cabin, and sailings from the New York area. Disney covers Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and the ships. Start six to nine months out if you care about a specific resort or dining window.
